(Description:)       Basic Shape: Short tailed, large headed warbler.
(Description:)  Overall Pattern: Olive on head and back, yellow on underparts, gray on flanks, white under tail.

Field Marks and
Identifying Characteristics:
Crown and sides of neck olive mottling, light yellow wash on underparts, flanks grayish , light eyebrow, dark eyeline, whitish underparts, with distinctive whitish undertail coverts.
Song or call & method of delivery: Called several times with a sharp "stik".
Behavior: Actively feeding. Hopping between branches.
Habitat: Brushy woodland
Similar species and how
were they eliminated:
Similar winter Orange-crowned Warbler has split eye-ring, yellow (not white) undertail coverts, indistinct breast and flank streaking, longer tail.
Larger Warbling Vireo has thicker hooked bill and more distinct pale eyebrow than Tennessee Warbler.
