Identifying Characteristics:
Large black hawk initially observed with slightly larger TUVU. Distinguished from TUVU by smaller size, steady flight, white under wings with white bands on tail. Soaring with TUVU then flew higher and southward away from area. Only one terrible photo. Red Cliffs Birding Festival field trip with Paul Jaussi. Bird was within 150' upon initial observation then flew higher and out of sight. Present for 5-10 minutes. Unable to view/photograph in scope. Great views with binoculars prior to photographing.
