Field Marks and
Identifying Characteristics:
Yellow under tail coverts, yellow/green rump, otherwise brown with sparse streaking on chest, dark-brown eye line with broken eye-ring, pale brown supercilium, all dark bill, pumping tail up and down when first perched.

Song or call & method of delivery: silent
Behavior: Foraging in Tamarisk, pumping tail up and down when first perched.
Habitat: Tamarisk along wet Canal surrounded by salt-shrub and grassland.
Similar species and how
were they eliminated:
Combination of yellow only on under tail coverts and rump, darkish eyeline, lighter supercilium, and tail pumping behavior diagnostic.

My second in Utah, but have observed extensively in New Jersey and Florida.
