Similar species and how
were they eliminated:
Viewed for 30+ mins with a group of experienced birders, as we tried to determine if it was a yellow bellied or a red-naped sapsucker. Originally this was submitted in ebird as a juvenile red naped sapsucker based on time of year, and location though we thought it might be a yellow-bellied sapsucker due to late retention of immature plumage. After viewing the pictures in high resolution and receiving some additional feedback from ebird reviewers (Bryant and Colby), we are changing the submission to a yellow-bellied sapsucker.
