Field Marks and
Identifying Characteristics:
Gray legs and bill, dark eye. Lores were dark blue to light blue with edges light blue. The line at edge of face was light blue and stopped at the top and bottom of eye, did not extend around eye as it would on WFIB.

Behavior: Was feeding when initially found, the second half of observation it was standing motionless. (Stance seen in photos)
Habitat: Grass field flooded by irrigation.
Similar species and how
were they eliminated:
WFIB- bird in question had all gray legs, dark eye, blue face and edges to face were blue as well but did not extend around the eye.

this & similar species:
Have only seen a couple of Glossy Ibis but am very familiar with WFIB.
